Day 01
On the 1st day of the North and East India Tour, reach to Delhi and meet here your tour guide. He will further help you to check in at the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02
Take on a sightseeing tour of Delhi, the capital city of India. Delhi is an exciting city and a perfect blend of traditions and modernity. Take on tours to tourist attractions such as, Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Jantar Mantar, India Gate, Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Government Secretariat Buildings and Cannaught Place. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 03
Leave for Jaipur, the capital of the state of Rajasthan in North India. As you reach Jaipur, your tour guide will meet you here. Check in the hotel and later move on for sightseeing tour of Jaipur, famous as the pink city. Jaipur is a famous and colorful tourist destination that offers you beautiful forts, minarets, lakes and a rich past dating back to about 260 years. Visit the most important places of tourist interest in Jaipur, such as Hawa Mahal, Royal Observatory and the Ram Niwas Gardens. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 04
Take on a half day excursion to the grand and famous Amer Fort in Jaipur in Rajasthan. Your tour to the Amer Fort will be the most memorable excursion of your lifetime. You will reach up to the fort to the fort riding on an elephant back. Amer fort is an ancient and huge fort set attractively on the top of the hillock. Its sandy color matches very well with the backdrop of rocky hills. With its thick walls and ramparts, the fort overlooks the beautiful Maota lake. There are many mansions and palaces inside the Amber Fort. You will see a large ancient temple within the fort's walls. An attractive holy Ganesha idol sits in the main sanctum of the temple, spreading its blessings to the visitors.
Day 05
Take a drive to Agra, the famous ancient city in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Enroute, stopover to visit another charming and old city, Fatehpur Sikri. It is an important tourist destination in this area. Fatehpur Sikri is a serene and beautiful city that tells its bygone era of splendor in whispers. Located at a distance of 40 kilometers from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri was built by the Mughal ruler Akbar in the year 1569. The city got deserted because of scarcity of water. Take on to the destinations of tourist interest such as the Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, and Salim Chisti's Tomb. Reach Agra and your tour guide will meet you here. Check in the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 06
This day is especially for a tour to the epitome of love the Taj Mahal. Agra is best known world over for housing the wonder of the world. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built this wonderful memorial in the year 1630 in the loving memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The monument holds her mortal remains. You can also tour the other attractions of Agra, such as the Agra Fort, Moti Masjid and the Itmad-ud-Daullah Tomb. Later in the evening, board a train to Varanasi.
Day 07
Reach Varanasi in the morning. It is a religious city of India, located in Uttar Pradesh. Check in the hotel with the help of your tour guide. Stay overnight at the hotel in Varanasi.
Day 08
Early in the morning take a boat excursion on the sacred river Ganges. Ganges is the most worshipped and sacred river of India. It is worshipped here much like a goddess and her water heavenly. Take tours of the two famous cremation ghats of Varanasi-the Harishchandra Ghat and the Manikarnika Ghat. The Hindus believe that the people cremated on these ghats or on the banks of the River Ganges, attain moksha or freedom from the eternal cycle of birth and death. In the evening, board a train to Bhubaneshwar in Orissa, East India. Spend night on board the train to Bhubaneshwar.
Day 09
Reach Bhubaneshwar, the capital city of Orissa in East India. Your tour guide will here meets you and further help you to check in the hotel. Bhubaneshwar is a city famous for its beautiful temples. During the day, you can further tour the attractive tourist destinations of Bhubaneshwar in Orissa. See the Mukteshwar temple, the Lingaraj temple, Rajarani temple, Brahmeswar temple and the Parasurameswar temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10
Proceed on the tour to Puri, located near Bhubaneshwar in Orissa. Enroute Puri, you will see the city of Konark, world famous for the magnificent Sun Temple. Built in sometimes near the 13th century to honor the Hindu deity, the Sun God, the architecture of the temple is simply fantastic. You can see and appreciate the bewitching shape of the temple in the shape of a big chariot and the temple carvings. Stay overnight at the hotel in Puri.
Day 11
Today, you are free to spend your day at leisure. Move on to explore the wonders of fascinating temple town in East India. Puri is an important Hindu pilgrimage center in East India. Moreover, it is also famous for its picturesque and pristine beach. Spend some moments here watching the up and down waves and beautiful sand sculptures made by professional or amateur artists. Take a tour to the Jagannath Temple built in the 15th century. The temple hosts Jagannath Yatra ceremonies that attract devotees and tourists all over the world.
Day 12
You are free to spend your entire day at leisure. Check out the hotel in the evening to board a train to Kolkata in West Bengal, East India. Spend your night on board the train.
Day 13
Reach Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal. Your tour guide will help you to check in the hotel. You are then free to spend your whole day as you wish. Your tour guide will arrange for a sightseeing tour of Kolkata in West Bengal. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 14
Take a drive to the airport, early in the morning for a flight back home with loving memories of incredible India.
