Day 1: Arrival in Chennai
Arrive at the Chennai airport, where our representative will be waiting to escort you to the hotel. Your tiredness will fly in seconds by the traditional welcome that you will be getting at the hotel's reception. After having a lunch, move on for a half-day sightseeing tour of the city. Marina Beach, churches, film studios, forts and zoos in Chennai are worth watching. You won't be able to realize how quickly the first day of your South India Tour will pass. Later return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 2: Chennai-Mahabalipuram-Chennai
Leave for a full day excursion in Chennai after having breakfast at the hotel. Go for Mahabalipuram, home to the only surviving shore temple in India. Explore the ancient caves, Arjuna's Penance, Krishna Mandapam and the Shore Temple during your excursion to Mahabalipuram. Later return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 3: Chennai - Mysore
Go for a drive to Mysore after having breakfast at the hotel. Arrive in Mysore and check in at the hotel. After relaxing a bit move on for a sightseeing tour of the city. Buy some good stuff from the sandalwood, jasmine markets and Devraj Fruit and Vegetable. Places like Mysore Palace and Chamundeswari Temple are worth watching in Mysore during your South India Tour.
Day 4: Mysore - Bangalore - Cochin
Post breakfast in the hotel, move on for Bangalore airport to board a flight to Cochin. After arriving in Cochin, check in at the hotel and relax for a while. Then, visit places like St Francis Church, Fort Cochin, oldest Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets and Kochi Harbor during the city sightseeing tour of Cochin. Later return to the hotel and relax with a dinner and then have an overnight stay at the hotel in Cochin.
Day 5: Cochin - Alleppey - Houseboat
Commence your backwater cruise tour after having a healthy breakfast at the hotel. Go through the authentic fishing villages and Chinese fishing nets while going on a backwater cruise through the intricate canal and backwater system of Alleppey and Kerala. Have an experience of a lifetime amidst the wonderful facilities provided in the backwater cruise. Enjoy an overnight stay onboard the houseboat.
Day 6: Houseboat - Kumarakom
Have a sumptuous breakfast aboard the houseboat, then disembark at Kumarakom. Move on for a sightseeing tour after checking in at the hotel in Kumarakom. Don't miss the pleasure of having boat rides and houseboat cruises on the mesmerizing lakes and canals of Kumarakom. Also go for excursions to the nearby bird sanctuary and to the Vembanad Lake. Later return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Day 7: Kumarakom - Cochin
