The Royal Orient Luxury Train leaves from Delhi every Wednesday on the royal tour of the Gujarat and Rajasthan states. Starting every September, the Royal Orient luxury train runs till the last Wednesday of April. The Royal Orient train takes you on to the memorable journey of historic and picturesque destinations. You can relax in the air-conditioned luxury coaches furnished in the royal style. The coaches are equipped with all the modern facilities for the travelers. It hosts a restaurant, a bar and a library. The Royal Orient luxury train offers its guests all what they want on their 8 day-long tour across Northwest India.
Day 1: Wednesday - Delhi
From Delhi, the capital city of India, board the Royal Orient luxury train at the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station. It will depart at 15:00 hrs. You will have your evening tea and dinner. Stay overnight on the luxury train.
Day 2: Thursday - Chittorgarh
Reach Chittorgarh at 05:30 hrs. Chittorgarh is an important tourist destination of Rajasthan, famous as the destination of bravery and heroism. See the Chittorgarh Fort and come back to the train to have breakfast. Move on for Udaipur. Reach Udaipur, the city of lakes in Rajasthan at noon. You can move on to your hotel for lunch. Post lunch enjoy the sightseeing tour around the city of Udaipur. Get back to the Royal Orient and move on for Mehsana. Have your dinner on board and stay overnight on the Royal Orient luxury train.
Day 3: Friday - Mehsana
Reach Mehsana, a traditional city of Gujarat. You will tour here the Sun Temple at Modhera, the Rani ki Vav and Patola Fabric Weaving Centre at Patan. Depart for Ahmedabad. Here you will enjoy your lunch at the hotel. After this, you can take a sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad. Visit the Gandhi Ashram, Adalaj Vav, Calico Textile Museum, Sidi Sayyad Mosque and take pleasure in shopping expedition in the main markets. Come back to the Deccan Odyssey train. Have your dinner on board as the train moves on to Sasan Gir.
Day 4: Saturday - Sasan Gir
Reach Sasangir the next day. Have your breakfast on board. Afterwards, take a tour of the Gir Lion sanctuary. Here you can easily see the Asiatic Lion wandering in the wilds. If you want, you can also tour the Somnath temple. Board the train to reach the exciting temple city of Delwada. In Delwada, take a sightseeing trip to Ahmedpur Mandvi beach, Diu Fort and St. Paul's Cathedral. Come back to the Royal Orient. Depart for Palitana. Have your dinner on train. Stay overnight on the Royal Orient luxury train.
Day 5: Sunday - Palitana
Reach Palitana. It will be a memorable city for you as you a trip to the Jain temples located at the Shatrunjaya Hills. Come back to the train. Leave for Sarkhej. You will have lunch on board. Reach Sarkhej. You will take a tour of the Vishalla village. Relish your dinner at the hotel and come back to the train. Stay overnight on the train as it moves on to Udaipur.
Day 6: Monday - Udaipur
Reach the famous lake city of Udaipur in Rajasthan. You will have your breakfast on the train. Take a trip to the Jain Temples at Ranakpur. Have your lunch at the hotel and come back to Udaipur and board a luxury train. Have your dinner on the luxury train Royal Orient as the train proceeds to Jaipur.
Day 7: Tuesday - Jaipur
Reach Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. You will have your breakfast on board. Take a sightseeing tour of the Jaipur city. See Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and ride an elephant to see the Amer Fort up on the hill. Enjoy the experience of shopping in the colorful markets of Jaipur. Come back to the Royal Orient luxury Train. You will have your dinner on board. The train then leaves for Delhi.
Day 8: Wednesday - Delhi
Reach the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station at 7:00 AM at the end of your Royal Orient luxury train tour in India
